ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS

a.      Superintendent's Report  J. Reardon reported that the administration is working on the 2016-2017 Board Budget. We will only have estimates for some of the line items by mid-January 2016.  Eastconn & the town have balanced out for our 2014-2015 Budget.  We will be balancing figures of our Budget with Eastconn & town treasurer every month going forward.  J. Reardon explained the Minimum Budget Requirement info from the 2014-15 & 2015-16 school years.  We still have free bus transportation to Woodstock Academy for another couple of years.  J. Reardon mentioned savings to the town for transportation to Windham Tech & Cheeney Tech because of a cooperative agreement with Stafford.

b.      Principal's Report  S. Jackopsic reported on the wonderful program the Woodstock Academy students put on for 5-8.  The MacKinnon's uncle shared his adventures of climbing Mt. Everest with our middle school students. He showed video & a slide show.  The teachers decorated the gym & had treats for the students. They had a great morning. The 7th & 8th grade went to the town hall today to listen to a World War II Veteran about being a prisoner of war for four years.  Parent/teacher conferences are this week.  The book fair is also this week.  The Holiday Bazaar is next week.  We thank Mrs. Vennart for heading up the book fair & bazaar even though she has no students at the school.  Dance will be December 18. S. Jackopsic will be applying for a Profession Learning Grant.  The 8th grade fundraising is going well for their DC trip in May, 2016.
