Selectmen’s Meeting January 2, 2018 Union, Connecticut
First Selectman Eaton called the meeting to order at 7: 30 p.m.
Attending: Selectmen – David D. Eaton, Mary Huda, David Heck
Minutes from the last meeting were read. First Selectman Eaton moved to accept the minutes as read; seconded by Selectman Huda. 2 votes yes, 1 abstention.
Minutes from the December 4, 2017 meeting were read. Selectman Heck made a motion to accept the minutes as read; seconded by Selectman Huda. 2 votes yes, 1 abstention.
Bills were presented for review. Selectman Heck made the motion to pay the bills as presented; seconded by Selectman Huda. Vote was unanimous.
Town Animal Control was discussed. The Board agreed to request that the dog, currently being held in the Town Pound for a period of more than six months, be removed by the end of January. A written town policy regarding the pound and retention of animals, as well as handling of dog bites, will be requested from the Animal Control Officer.
The 2018-2019 Selectmen’s Budget was reviewed and edited.
Motion to adjourn at 8:21 p.m. by Selectman Heck; seconded by First Selectman Eaton. Vote was unanimous.
