Selectmen’s Meeting                       February 20, 2018                          Union, Connecticut

 

First Selectman Eaton called the meeting to order at 7: 30 p.m.

 

Attending:  Selectmen – David D. Eaton, Mary Huda, David Heck

 

Minutes from the February 5, 2018 meeting were read. Selectman Huda made a motion to accept the minutes as read; seconded by Selectman Heck. Vote was unanimous.

 

Bills were presented for review.  Selectman Heck made the motion to pay the bills as presented; seconded by Selectman Huda.  Vote was unanimous.

 

Correspondence:   Review of emails from Joan Eames regarding Education expenses in Union

 

First Selectman Eaton presented a request for an alternate representative to the Northeast District Department of Health. Following discussion, Selectman Huda made a motion to appoint David Heck as an alternate representative to the NDDH, through June 30, 2019; seconded by First Selectman Eaton. Vote was unanimous.

 

The revised Town of Union Employment Application was reviewed and finalized. The application will be posted on the town website.

 

Robert Leffingwell has retired from his position at the Transfer Station. Selectman Heck made a motion to purchase a Big Y gift card in the amount of $50. Seconded by Selectman Huda. Vote was unanimous. A certificate of appreciation will be prepared for Bob, thanking him for his years of service to the Town of Union.

 

Motion to adjourn at 8:10 p.m. by Selectman Huda; seconded by Selectman Heck.  Vote was unanimous.
