PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

MINUTES OCTOBER 16, 2019

The meeting of October 16, 2019 was called to order at 7:30 PM by M.Silbermann.

 

The Minutes of the October 2nd meeting were reviewed.   B. Lambert made a motion to approve as read, seconded by B. Kapplan.  All were in favor, minutes approved.

 

The Health Department and Union missing files were discussed.  Sue Starkey attended the meeting.  She brought in a box of ‘scanned’ Union files she had.  H. Bradrick went through the box and only found one Planning/Zoning File. The rest of the items were Health Department related materials.

 

An application for an above ground pool 18x32’ on property owned by John Artruc 340 Stickney Hill Rd. was submitted.  After review of plan B. Lambert made a motion to approve, seconded by B. Kapplan.  All in favor, Permit #19011 issued.  $85.00 fee paid.

 

Mr.Randy Barclay of 42-12 Shore Dr. submitted an application to add a  31x24’ garage to their property. After review of the application/plan, B. Lambert made a motion to approve application, seconded by B. Kapplan.  All in favor, motion carried.  $210 paid.  Permit # 19012 issued.

 

Mr. Mangold of Webster Rd attended the meeting.  B. Lambert made a motion to add him to the agenda. Seconded by B. Kapplan.  He wants to put up a shed 8X24.  His application was submitted, he paid $85.  He will be added to the next agenda for review of application.

 

B. Lambert addressed the Commission requesting compensation for Josh Lambert for time spent attending ZEO classes. The classes are paid for by the P&Z Commission and he can get reimbursed for mileage.  D. Eaton will look into this with the Treasurer. 

 

ZEO D. Eaton reported that he sent a letter to 42 Cemetery Rd and stopped at the property to determine if there was a violation.  The wood shed is on an existing concrete pad and next to house – not in front of house.  There is no violation. 

 

B. Lambert moved to adjourn, seconded by M. Kneeland.  Meeting adjourned at 8:25 PM.
