Old Home Day Committee
OHD Meeting Minutes:
Monday, May 15th, 2023 6:30pm in person at the Union Town Hall
Attendees: Erin Kate Grabel-Forziati, Cailin Rae, Jackie Woronecki, Sam
Essery, and Robyn Wass
Persons To Be Heard: None at this time
New Business:
● New Committee Member(s): Sam E, Robyn W. and Jackie W. will be
formally submitted to the selectman’s office to be appointed.
● Schedule: A draft of the schedule was completed but will be finalized
at the July meeting.
● Future OHD Meeting Dates: Two upcoming meetings, July 17th and
August 18th.
Old Business
● Logistics of Activities/Locations: Vendors will be moved back to the
green and all children activities will only be at the library. No baseball
this year but will offer the spot to Stafford Lions Club for cornhole. Erin
F. will speak to Karen at The Traveler Restaurant to offer the pie
eating contest again after the BBQ. No bingo this year.
● Jobs: Jobs were discussed and will be finalized at the July meeting.
● Theme: Greenery/Nature is the theme and decorations for the grove
were discussed. The final details will be discussed at the July
meeting.
● T-shirts/hoodies: Erin F. is working with Primer in Union to get shirts
ordered. A picture of Bigelow Hollow will be on the back and a simple
1⁄4 zip sweater will have the left pocket logo only. The colors of the
shirts and sweater were picked out. As soon as Erin F. has the mock
up of the design she will get final approval of the committee then send
out the order forms. The OHD committee will sell at the transfer
station as well, the goal is to have all shirts ready for pickup before
OHD.
